The Roanoke Lions are again sponsoring the Roanoke Public
Library's summer reading program. John Zeider, Mat Quickery, Jim Vachon, Terry
Dailey, Craig Bernard along with Jerry Anderson all representing the Roanoke
Lions, presented a $300 check to Celia Bandelier, Library Director on May 15,

picture.) The money will be used to buy books for the preschool children,
prizes for top readers, and other program expenses. The program entitled "What's Cookin' at
the Library" will be held on Tuesdays, June 10th- July 22nd with no
program on July 1st (Holiday Break) at 10 am for ages 2-6 and 2 pm for ages
7-12. A celebration party will be held
on July 29th at 10am featuring Johnny from the Fort Wayne TinCaps. . There will
also be a special presentation on June 23rd by Purdue Extension Educators at 10
am for the children participating in the
program. So come and see what's cooking at the library this summer. Each session
children will listen to stories,
make crafts, and participate in some activities all relating to food, fun and
friends. Class size is limited to 30
children so please register EARLY to reserve your spot. Pre-registration is required by June 5th.
