Teen Art Classes

TEEN ART CLASSES
The Roanoke Public Library is offering  free ”teen” art classes in the month of July which will be instructed by Karen Baker, Library Assistant and former art student.  Learn about three types of fun art that will inspire you to create your own imaginative projects.  Please pre-register by calling the Roanoke Public Library at 260-672-2989 by July 9th.  Class size is limited to first ten registered students.
Thursday, July 12th 10a-11:30a
DUCT TAPE CRAFT:  Discover how you can create your own duct tape craft, such as a fashionable wallet, cell phone case, or use your imagination to make your own amazing creation. 
Optional:  bring your own duct tape.

Thursday, July 19th 10a-11:30a
TESSELATIONS:  Learn about the art of creating tessellations from simple basic shapes to more creative designs and make your own picture made from a repeated shape. 

Thursday, July 26th 10a-11:30a
 DECOUPAGE CREATIONS:  Learn the art of decorating an object by gluing colored paper cutouts onto it.  Optional:  bring a small box or other small object of your choice and/or old magazines to cut up.
